Southern Belle Notary Services is not a law firm. I, Sandra Griffin, am a commissioned Notary Public in the State of Florida — I am not an attorney licensed to practice law.

I may not give legal advice, interpret legal documents, advise you on your legal rights, or tell you which document or form is right for your situation. If you have legal questions or require guidance on which documents to prepare, I strongly encourage you to consult with a licensed attorney.

Any information provided on this website or during our interactions is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created through your use of this website or our notary services.

As a Florida Notary Public, my role is limited to:

• Verifying the identity of document signers through acceptable forms of identification
• Witnessing the signing of documents and administering oaths or affirmations
• Certifying that a signer appeared before me and acknowledged executing the document willingly
• Maintaining a notary journal as required by Florida law
• Facilitating Apostille processing by preparing documents for certification — I do not issue Apostilles; that authority rests with the Florida Department of State

I do not certify the truthfulness, accuracy, or validity of the contents of any document. Notarization confirms the identity of the signer and the circumstances of the signing — it does not endorse, approve, or validate the document itself.

Remote Online Notarization services are performed in compliance with Florida Statutes §117.201 et seq. RON sessions require the signer to be physically located within the State of Florida at the time of notarization, or in accordance with applicable cross-state recognition laws.

RON sessions use tamper-evident technology and audio-visual recording as required by Florida law. By participating in a RON session, you consent to being recorded for the duration of the notarization as mandated by statute.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the intended recipient of your notarized document accepts electronically notarized documents. Some entities, agencies, or foreign jurisdictions may require traditional in-person notarization.

In accordance with Florida law, I reserve the right to refuse a notarization if:

• The signer cannot provide acceptable, current identification
• The signer appears to be coerced, under duress, or not acting willingly
• The signer appears confused, disoriented, or lacks the mental capacity to understand the transaction
• The document is incomplete or contains blank spaces that should be filled
• I suspect fraud, forgery, or unlawful activity
• The notarization would conflict with Florida notary laws or my legal obligations

Southern Belle Notary Services maintains an active Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance policy. This coverage is designed to protect against financial loss resulting from an unintentional error or omission in the notarization process. It is not a guarantee of perfection and does not cover claims arising from fraud, dishonesty, or intentional misconduct.

E&O insurance does not replace or substitute for legal advice, nor does it cover issues related to the underlying transaction or document contents.

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, Southern Belle Notary Services and Sandra Griffin shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

• Errors or omissions in documents presented for notarization
• Rejection of a notarized document by a receiving party, agency, or institution
• Delays in Apostille processing by the Florida Department of State or other government agencies
• Technical issues during Remote Online Notarization sessions, including connectivity interruptions beyond our reasonable control
• Reliance on general information provided on this website

All notary services provided by Southern Belle Notary Services are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, including but not limited to Florida Statutes Chapter 117 (Notaries Public) and Chapter 118 (Apostilles). Any disputes arising from or relating to our notary services shall be resolved in accordance with Florida law.
